3 Things That Happen When You Improve Your Skincare Sales

career success retail sales

It might sound obvious that selling more can make a big difference in your day to day life. Increasing your income tends to have that effect!

Today, we're sharing the 3 most significant life changes you'll experience when you become a more confident salesperson that you may not have expected.

01

More Doors Will Open For Career Advancement

If you've ever considered becoming a skincare rep, clinic manager, spa lead, or educator, the first step you need to take is becoming a serious salesperson. Being loved by clients is important, but isn't always enough for career advancement.

Companies and managers look for top-performers when considering hiring and promoting. Highlighting your strong sales numbers and statistics is the most effective way to show your expertise and value.

02

You'll Be Perceived As An Expert

If you haven't taken the opportunity to discuss home care with a client who has expressed any concern, the less confidence they will have in you as a skin therapist. You may come across as aloof, nervous, or "too busy" to work with your client on what they need to be using at home.

Being confident in your recommendations helps your client perceive you not as a salesperson, but as an expert in your field.

03

Your Clients Will Be More Likely to Recommend You

Have you ever visited a business to solve a problem? Of course, you have! What if you leave that business having received only the bare minimum for what you needed? Provided you're not being pushy or sleazy, a client will be more happy with your service if you have provided them with a more comprehensive plan by going beyond the basics.

This one might sting a little, but your clients will also be more likely to talk about the skincare they're using at home than the treatments they've received from you. However, this is an excellent thing!

Let me explain...

A friend is more likely to ask what products are you using than "where do you go for facials?" How many times have you heard someone gush over a particular product they're using after being complimented on their skin?

The more products a client has purchased from you, the more likely they are to recommend you.
